Voor het monteren van onderdelen alsmede het smeren van schroefdraden gebruikt bij zuurstof sytemen of waar direct contact met chemicaliën en brandstoffen kan plaatsvinden. Is NSF H1 geregistreerd als een smeermiddel geschikt voor incidenteel contact met voedingsmiddelen.
